The product has developed considerably overtime to become the market leader it is today. We specify the leading Deceuninck 2800 – the 70mm Fully Sculptured system or chamfered range. Our frames go through more internal quality checks than any other window and door Company nationally and we pride ourselves on the fact that we supply the most secure windows and doors available on the market today.
This system carries the leading technology and benefits of PVC (security features, thermal performance, maintenance free, etc) whilst maintaining the aesthetics and characteristics of traditional timber (with our wood foil range).
Secured By Design & Security and Peace of Mind
“Secured By Design” is the official Police preferred and currently the most stringent security specification and testing process for windows and doors in the UK today. It indicates that certified products comply with the very highest standards in security.
As standard our windows include the SAC 6 point locking shootbolt system. In addition a recent product innovation is that all casement windows are fitted with a ‘SAC ASL Bolt and Keep’ as standard.
In summary this new addition combined with the 6 point locking system improves security, weather and sound insulation, and hinge reliability.
As standard our doors include the following “Secured By Design” approved product security enhancements:
• Safeware 8+ door locking mechanism and keep, which includes single
• Security ‘Dog Bolts’ to the hinge side.
• ‘Anti-Bump’ locking cylinders, with cylinder guard (on request)
• Secured By Design approved ‘Fab&Fix’ suited door furniture.
Tested and Approved
All our Deceuninck range has been tested and approved to achieve the following certification:
- BS7412 and BS7950 - Specification for PVC-U windows and doors
- BS6375 - Weather performance, operation and strength characteristics for windows and doors
- BSI standard PAS 23/PAS 24 - an attack test standard that certifies that our doors are manufactured in order to withstand a series of physical tests based upon all common methods off burglary.
In accordance with the requirements of BS EN 14351-1 - Windows and doors product standard
From October 2010, windows and doors installed into existing dwellings need to comply with Approved Document Part L of the Building Regulations. In order to comply the installed products need to achieve a Window Energy Rating Band of C or above and/or achieve an overall U value of 1.6 W/m2k.
Sanderson Windows has exclusive access to The U-Comply calculator. This allows Sanderson to demonstrate the thermal performance on any number of window and door specifications. U-Comply has been independently audited and approved by CERTASS, FENSA and BSI, and allows Sanderson to show compliance with Document ‘L’ using either U-values or Window Energy Ratings.
Our standard casement window achieves a whole window U Value (Uw) of 1.4 W/m2.K, with a centre pane value of 1.2 W/m2.K.
Sanderson Windows work in partnership with Pilkington UK and Planitherm, and as so only use the market leader in sealed unit supply (glazing).
Toughened glass is fitted where required, in accordance with BSEN12150.
